Promotional Emails

for America’s Test Kitchen

These are promotional emails that I’ve designed to sell cookbooks for America’s Test Kitchen. When designing a promotional cookbook email I start in Adobe XD, build out assets in Photoshop and then write the HTML in Dreamweaver, making sure to optimize the designs for both desktop and mobile platforms.

Email for 100 Techniques

The design for each promotional email is based on the design of the cookbook, making them all different. A unique aspect of 100 Techniques as a cookbook is the focus on process and technique instead of recipes, so in the design I helped emphasize this concept by focusing on process photos instead of recipe photos.

Email for Everything Chocolate

Looking through the Everything Chocolate cookbook made me seriously crave some chocolate, and I knew the stunning photography throughout this cookbook would make others feel the same. In this promotion I focused on highlighting the beautiful photography by integrating the recipe descriptions into the photos, helping to draw further attention to the beautiful, chocolate-y imagery.

The Fan Favorites Sale

Working on a book sale campaign involves designing a series of 4 to 6 emails that have matching hero designs and  varying color schemes. The Fan Favorites Sale was in July, so I used Procreate on my iPad to create different tie-dye patterns that evoked the feeling of summer. These patterns were used to promote the sale across the company’s many channels, creating a cohesive visual identity and successfully selling many cookbooks.
